I know a railway enthousiast. As he finds the name trainspotter not glamorous enough, he calls himself a siderodromophile (in Greek "sidero"steel "dromo" track and "phile" to love). Unfortunately siderodromophilia is not really what he thinks: this term implies sexual arousal and is considered as a deviant behaviour... It's so funny to look for his name in a search engine and find it associated with such a paraphilia!

Now his next plan is to change the common definition to suppress the sexual connotations... Good Luck!

It was just this one time when I needed to fetch an article: I should have kept a local copy of the articles (BTW very interesting as usual), Sigcomm 2006 conference website has been hacked...



Update on Tuesday: after more than 24 hours of various error messages the site is now back. I guess it is the daily pain of a 21st century website...
